Tipis
Imagine the spirit of the plain Indians, like the Lakotas - the Fox Warriors' Society, the Sash Bearers, the Chanunpa (Sacred Pipe) carriers living in the summer encampment in a crescent 3/4 of a circle, and then breaking apart into bands for the winter, only to meet up again the following year into the circle.

To live in such a way, a way heralded by the Four Winds, the 4 Seasons, ONE with the natural world, under the tutelage of Wakan Tanka. To be sacred clowns, upside-down, back to front heyokas that are called in-dreaming by the Thunder Beings themselves-dreaming of thunder, lightning, or even a grey horse.

We've had the luck to live such a way, although to live so in a modern world calls for a ever renewing spirit of improvisation.

Are you too hearing the pipe talk and dreaming of the wakinyan tanka, the
Great Thunder Beings?

We have decided to raise the levels of tipi-cover specifications for all our tipis, meaning that all seams are sewn running fell style, with no more open salvage! We also introduced several other changes to smoke flaps, gores, reinforcements and ties, all in all trying to create a tipi that is much more integrally made with nothing unaccounted for,
A tipi should be made by Indians, not by cowboys!
