The nomadic way has been represented so strongly in its structures and yet so little in its capacity for movement.  The beauty of travelling this earth and live-in vehicles is often overlooked although it is a rich and existing part of nomadic culture with as much scope as the tents of indigenous people.  Spirits Intent Trans-formation has thus come about, with the aim of rejuvenating the true myth and passion in exploring through movement and to make available the means and knowledge to make it possible.

On the road: wherever you go - there you are. Life itself is home - a home which moves,  If you are one of those who sees our trucks and say, "Oh I'd love to do that, but I can't.", the news is that you CAN. The road is there and all you have to do is get on it.  We have been building live-in vehicles for as long as we have been making tents - vehicles that can take any terrain and endure any frontier whilst maintaining a level of style and homeliness at all times, they are the true heirs of the tent carts of old; wagons, drawn by horse or ox, on which were erected various forms of tent. (See Live-In Trucks)  As well as building the vehicles themselves, we hold workshops in "full timing" (fully on the move) and are working at raising the public awareness of this lifestyle.   Workshops will include:-  -Choice of vehicle -Nomadic Business and Commerce (including marketing, self-employment and tax issues) -Letting go of your life -Daily living (tips on food, water, washing, toilet etc) -Basic mechanics and tools -Park-ups: how to find them, what to look for, using your 'inner navigation' to find a good place, how to hold the space when you're there -Caravanning: not those white things that you tow but traveling with more than one vehicle.  

Our conference-gathering (see Conference-Gatherings) work is also becoming more fluid and mobile, such as the 'traveling conference’, which will, in turn hold neo-nomadism as its focal point of confluence.

In living a nomadic lifestyle one has to literally keep moving on all levels. This process is a step towards freeing oneself from frozen definitions of identity and the cushioning effect of familiarity. The idea of home being within 4 walls, a street, a town, a country, or even a people has to expand to include wherever and whoever you are. If you are open, you learn how life looks after you, how to be fluid and creative with the challenges that inevitably come up and how to interact with your surroundings on a more conscious level. The re-igniting of the nomadic notion is not meant as a revival of old traditions but as a progressive renewal of the true task to understand freedom as a moving force. We have chosen to concentrate on the nomadic lifestyle, not because we believe it is the only way, but as a living symbol of the moving force on this earth.
