The Spirits Intent mobile workshop was initially designed with the idea of having our tent-making workshop on the road and able to build anything anywhere.

It is built in two trucks and a trailer, the trucks both 4x4 and able to take any terrain, particularly the Unimog which has shown us some quite hairy possibilities in mechanized transport.

The Unimog is equipped with a 25kva hydraulic generator (running from a hydraulic pump attached to the back of the gear box) which can power a whole campsite and means we can run the welding equipment and wood working combination machine wherever we are.
It was a Slovenian train support unit in earlier life, then went to Kazakhstan to be a mobile welding unit, and was driven to the UK (as a wager in a local pub) where we acquired it. We changed the box body to a newer box, and painted it the same way. It still hold the number plate from  Kazakhstan on the tail lift, which in itself has come in very handy (like in lifting its own body onto its chassis!)

The 1820 is an 18 ton mercedes truck fitted with a 3 ton crane (Palfinger) at the back.
It was built by us from the chassis up specifically for a job we were planning on doing in France, which included a two-storey yurt. It is geared to use the generator power from our other truck for the mobile welding unit it carries.

Our mobile workshop also consists of an ex-army trailer, which houses all the tools.
